Located just 40 miles outside of Manhattan, Orange County is one of the most appealing areas in the New York metropolitan area and the home to over 341,000 people. Orange County is positioned on the state's scenic Mid-Hudson Region of the Hudson Valley, and it is the only county located between two rivers; the Hudson on the east and Delaware on the west. Orange County's appeal for citizens and business owners alike is the affordable housing, high-quality school systems, low crime rate, and excellent road, rail, and air transportation. Attractions in Orange County include the oldest United States Military Academy at West Point, the Purple Heart Museum, Brotherhood Winery (the oldest winery in America), and the hit television program "Orange County Choppers".
POW’R Against Tobacco is instrumental within the Orange County tobacco control field often, partnering with our cohorts in the Orange County Department of Health: Tobacco Free Schools and Reality Check. Collaborating with our local Community Partners, POW’R participates and sponsors a variety of community events and activities that aide in delivering our tobacco control message throughout the county.
